public comment on federal register of 4/27/06 vol 71 #81 4 cfr part 35 et seq fruit and vegetable imports dkt 2005 0106 rin 0579-ab80 it is clear this agency has been extremely negligent in letting in many many pests to invade the u.s. when allowing fruits/vegetables and nursery products into the u.s. nobody is checking what comes into this country, although that is clearly the responsibility of this agency. this agency sits on its hands instead. i hope that this proposal will truly stop the flood of invasives entering this country courtesy of usda aphis. aphis spends lots of time and money poisoning, gassing and shooting wildlife and birds in the united states instead - that kind of work should be completely phased out since so many species are endangered due to the poisoning, gassing and shooting of wildlife by aphis - which is truly a venal, vicious agency for native wildlife and birds.
