public comment on federal register of 8/1/06 vol 71 #147 pg 43385 usda aphis 7 cfr part 305, 319, 352 dket 2005 0106 rin 0579 ab80 fruit and vegetable import regulations aphis has lax inspection of what is coming into this country. we need more inspection of exactly what enters this country. certainly this same agency has let endless numbers of absolutely destructive beetles, insects, plants into this country that is causing this country's taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars to correct. it is clear the money in this dept is NOT going to sound inspection procedures on what enters this country. meanwhile, this agency spends millions of taxpayer dollars to tell u.s. farmers NOT TO GROW CROPS. INSTEAD WE LET SHIPS BRING IN CROPS AND THE SHIPS DROP OIL POLLUTION IN OUR SEAS. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH THIS STUPID SCHEME. SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE. WE NEED TO STOP POLLUTION AND SHIPPING SO MUCH. WENEED TO GROW IN THE US AT MODERATE PRICES. IT CAN BE DONE. CUT OUT ALL THE WASTE IN USDA.
