I have been in the whitetail deer business for thirteen years. I have TB tested the
last two years and if this law were passed I would not have to test this year. This
would be a great advantage as I have 80 -100 deer and lost nine deer in the last
two years due to the stress of having to dart them twice each year for the TB test.
It costs at least $3,000-$5,000 each year to test. The new rules would help
reduce testing cost to me, lessen the potential for animal injury or death during
testing, and lower administrative costs for State and Federal regulatory agencies.
