public comment on federal register of 1/19/06 vol 71 #12 pg 2991 usda 9 cfr part 78 aphis 2006 0001 brucellosis in cattle in idaho - request for comments first of all stop using the word "depopulated" when in fact is is killing. use english please so the public know what you are doing. you are trying to hide the brutal fact that you are killing the cattle. why arent' these cattle being given the vaccine against brucellosis? it is clear cattle are the main source of brucellosis. we should stop leasing so much land to them at $5.00 an acre per year, since their presence on the taxpayer owned land allows disease to be spread on that land and causes problems for the wildlife that SHOULD BE LIVING ON THAT LAND, INCLUDING WILD HORSES THAT ARE INSTEAD BEING SENT TO SLAUGHTERHOUSES TO DIE SO THAT THESE DISEASED CATTLE LIVE ON THE LAND. I SAY STOP LEASING LAND TO CATTLE BARONS AND LEAVE THE LAND AS OPEN SPACE FOR WILDLIFE TO LIVE ON. THAT IS WHAT THE INTENT OF THOSE LANDS WAS.
