another voluntary program, which means if the profiteers feel like doing it, they
MIGHT DO IT. but they will cheat and there is absolutely no punishment if they
dont feel like conforming. what a prank on the american public and other
governments that rely on honesty and truthfulness.
the inspection process at slaughterhouses is a sham - it is ineffective and corrupt.
the slaughterhouses know when the inspectors are coming and clean up for the
visit. the slaughterhouses are horrible places where live animals are burned alive,
chopped up piece by piece and it is all "voluntary" isnt it? it is time to make
mandatory what goes on in these sites of horror. please dont write about these
places in such a dishonest way.
i note that huge amounts of tax dollars are being proposed for usehere so that hog
profiteers can make more money. i object to that use of tax dollars. the measly
sum of $5l is being proposed as a fee for the agency. this agency is extremely
expensive to run and the taxpayers are being hosed to pay for their efforts, yet the
profiteers are the only ones profiting from their efforts. this program to increase
profits for pig abusers/producers shows overspending of american tax dollars and
is a very poor proposal
many people do not eat pork because they are well aware of the horror of this
industry, where mother pigs are not allowed to even turn around and even though
they are intelligent animals, they are subjected to endless stress and poisoned
with endless amounts of drugs to make them grow fat in a hurry. they even feed
these pigs plastic these days (melamine immediately fed to pigs - even though the
owners of the pigs knew it had killed dogs and cats - what horrible implications
that has for the food industry)
pigs are living extremely intelligent animals. the horror done to them in this
industry is beyond belief. they are treated like metal widgets in a factory. they live
in constant stress. this whole process is horror itself.
regulations like this are never conformed with by profiteers. look at how fast plastic
melamine that was killing other animals was fed to pigs, poultry, livestock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why doesnt the u.s. have import standards for pig meat imported from canada?
it is a sad commentary that the u.s. has to look to dead pigs to increase our
exports and balance of trade - how sad that we are a third world country.
as to regulatory flexibility act, (l) this action should be dropped
(2) the objectives make no sense
(3)small entities will not participate
(4) recordkeeping is enormous so will not be done at all
(5) taxpayers will be hosed by the costs of this program
please send me a paper copy of the full environmental assessment so i can
comment more fully.
