Korean National Plant Quarantine Service (NPQS) has been issuing Phytosanitary
tags (Please refer to the following pictures) for commodities which are enterable to
specific foreign country and carried by travellers instead of Phytosanitary
certificate (PC) after the inspection by plant quarantine inspector, considering
passenger's convenience.
At present, the Phytosanitary tags are widely used as a certificate for plants in
the baggage carried by travellers bound for Japan, Guam, etc.
Considering that the Phytosanitary tags are issued by the National Plant
Quarantine Service after thorough inspection, we request APHIS to accept the
Phytosanitary tag as well as the Phytosanitary certificate.
