5. Establishment of Area of Low Pest Prevalence for Fruit Flies Surveillance for temperate fruit flies such as Rhagoletis pomonella and R. indifferens need not be for at least 12 consecutive months. There will obviously be a winter period where surveys are not practical or useful.
