public comment on federal register of 8/4/06 vol 71 #150 pg 44234 aphis 9 cfr part 95 docket 2006 0113 ban all imports mentioned in this proposal. you are doing nothing but exposing american citizens to all kinds of imported diseases. aphis is notoriously lax and ineffecient in inspecting what comes in for the diseases that the product may be carrying. i note the recent case of the ny musician that imported hides from africa that caused anthrax cases in many ny city residents. we dont need that kind of problem coming up in america. this is a negligent agency, that does not spend enough of its budget on inspection and does lax and negligent inspections of all kinds of diseases. it is part of usda and the mad cow crew. i think we should totally ban all of these imports since obviously no system proposed herewith is rigorous enough.
