PUBLIC COMMENT ON FEDERAL REGISTER OF 11/3/06
APHIS DOCKET 2006 0118-0004
there should be no movement from state to state of captive herds of animals. in
the first place keeping captive herds encourages disease among those animals.
deer are not meant to live in close captivity with each other. fort collins colorado
brought on chronic wasting disease by doing exactly that and that is an aphis
facility.
aphis is causing more disease among animals than they are helping to fix.
aphis needs a top to bottom clean up. the inspector general should get into what
goes on there.
it is an ineffective agency and actually only works to kill wildlife and animals. this
agency is as bad as it gets.
no movement between states should be permitted. we just had a situation where
some of a profiteers herd got loose and now hundreds of deer are being shot to
death based on the fact that they MAY be diseased. this kind of carelessness is
completely inexcusable.-
