I don't think that it's appropriate to green light another genetically modified food crop. We have learned that genetically modified foods can cause a number of disasters throughout the food-chain. It is best to put in place a moratorium on genetically modified food production in the United States. It is in the interest of consumers, scientists and politicians to put the brakes on the approval of any new genetically modified organism for consumption. It is especially critical in the case of altering a plant's genetic integrity for the purpose of increased pesticide, herbicide or fungicide exposur
