I presume there is no AI being found in the U.S. chicken industry by the lack of such reports. Increasing sampling frequency does not appear to make sense. What makes more sense is end of life testing of long lived birds, such as breeder flocks, and symptomatic flocks, such as flocks with respiratory disease. Testing every meat bird flock in low risk environment, such as conventional commercial poultry houses, appears to be a political ploy to placate international trading partners.
