The Honorable Chuck Conner
Acting Secretary
United States Department of Agriculture
1400 Independence Avenue S.W.
Washington DC 20250
Dear Mr. Secretary,
We are in full support of the purposed amendments contained in Docket Number
APHIS-2007-0050 regarding regulations that will allow exportation of
dragonfruit, hylocereus and selenacereus varieties, to the continental United
States.
We appreciate and support the mission of your department in providing protection
against the spread of plant pests from all places outside of the United States
and are confident that our farm can cooperate successfully with these
regulations as proposed while providing the consumer a quality product that will
satisfy the most rigorous standards
While waiting for permission to export our dragonfruit we have struggled to stay
in business and eagerly await this opportunity. Quality products are the
benchmark of Weaver Farm and Kona Dragon Fruit, Inc.
Aloha, Terry and Susie Weaver
