Montevideo, June 12th 2007 Lanodir S.A. is a company that works in Fumigation Sevices and Pest Control. Our experience indicates that the best way to prevent the introduction of quarantine pests is to use PHOSPHINE (PH3) PURE. This treatment has many advantages if we compare it with the traditional methyl bromide treatment (actually used in bluberries imported from Argentina). As far as we are able to judge, Chile is the country that uses de best Technology in this area. As you may know, MB (Methyl Bromide) is a poison, dangerous to the human beings and it also affects the Ozone Hole. We will mention some of the advantages of PHOSPHINE (PH3) PURE: - The Hyrogen Phosphure (PH3) is an ideal product in order to protect all the Storaged Products, including processed foods, dried fruits, vegetables and other non-food commodities. Also animal feed and feed ingredients. And of course, the blueberries. - The phosphine (PH3) eliminate all the stadios of the insects, (including eggs and larvs) in the proper place that every insect is. - Exists an equipment developed for the safe dilution of cylinderized pure phosphine with air without risk of ingnition because the concentration that is used does not reach the 18.000 ppm. - Environmentally friendly, this product will not harm the ozone layer, because once it is in contact with the atmosphere, the sun light transform it in phosphoric acid. - No waste generation or disposal. - No residues in the container since only pure phosphine is applied. - The fumigation is carried out with pure phosphine gas and therefore there are no residues to be removed and the deactivated following fumigation. - Allow to add the exact amount of gas needed for the fumigation. (Digital devices). Internal concentration levels of phosphine can be managed by adjusting the amount of fumigant released. - Can also be used for ventilation of the fumigant and absortion in a filter, recycling the air from the inside of the container through this device to scoobber. - It takes only a few minutes to get an even gas distribution in the entire container. - The treatment is made with devices that enables it to be used in locked containers and other sealed-storages. - Cost-effective. If you require any further information we will be glad to supply it. We are ver interested in this matter because we have the technology and we are sure that this method is the best for this cases.
