A response from the blueberry growers in the USA who are concerned that the rush to allow imported blueberries into the USA will endanger our crop. Our industry is in 38 states and two provinces of Canada. Not a single person from our industry has been consulted including some of the leading experts on blueberries in the world. Information on our industry presented in the Uruguay request is incorrect. The blueberry industry is an important crop here in the USA and we ask the APHIS to look out for the interests of our USA blueberry industry.
