I agree with the proposed rule because it is helping to make sure that no animals, especially cattle, can be imported into the US if they have been exposed to fever ticks or any other diseases. It is a great idea to have a facility that checks these animals when they come through to make sure they aren?t infested, which will make sure that no person will get sick from it. It would also benefit cattle operations to the west of the current ports of entry. Because the cattle would be moved over shorter distances, transport costs would be lower. I think that as the proposed rule stands right now, I can?t think of any other amendments to add onto it. They seem to have everything well thought of and want to make sure that all cattle are properly tested before being let into the United States.
