This is comment on Proposed Rule

Importation of Wooden Handicrafts from China

View Comment

While I believe in the freedom of countries to do business internationally, given the past recent problems with products coming out of China, stricter sanctions should be imposed on these items before allowing them to enter the US. Further a non partisan inspector should be sent to China to inspect what is being sent prior to leaving port form the country. Third, there should be limit on the amount of the proposed crafts. There is an uneven trade balance between China and The US. While I believe the US should do more for boosting local markets and manufacturing of such items within our country, at the very least limiting the items can help. I am for the importation but with strict limitations.
