This is comment on Proposed Rule

Importation of Wood Packaging Material from Canada

View Comment

Knowing that there is a chance of the importation of pests via wood packing materials from Canada, this proposed regulation seems to be very reasonable. I agree with the proposed rule, and the actions being taken to keep the U.S. agriculture safe from certain pests that can be found in the wood packing materials. The proposed rule seems to be pretty straightforward and well written. It also brings up a good, simple solution to a small problem that could cause a lot of problems in the future. By eliminating the importation of these wood packing materials altogether, we eradicate the problem. The expectation of goods imported from Canada will not change, and therefore it is a win-win situation for all. The main reason why this proposed rule works is because it is a necessary adjustment. As problems arise, this is the proper method of eliminating it.
