It is critical that there is adequate support for those with disabilities as well as limited mobility. As lifespans continue to increase, there is a higher likelihood that the number of persons requiring the type of support discussed in this rule will also increase. Ensuring public transportation especially takes restricted mobility of riders into account will lead to greater citizen enjoyment and likely use of these systems.
