Question 3: The organization of technical criteria by patient positions makes clear which technical criteria apply to the different types of equipment. Further by organizing the technical criteria by patient position, elements specific to certain positions, such as slip resistant standing surface may be delineated clearly. Question 4: The language in the proposed standards is clear. Question 5: The term ‘breast platform’ should be defined, or language inserted into the paragraph (M303.4-M30.1) that makes clear the intended specification of mammography. Adding an example relating mammography breast platforms to ‘components’ used to examine specific body parts may also enhance clarity.
