Dear Director Caswell, I'm writing to state my opposition to the proposed revocation of the regulations that require the Secretary of Interior to withdraw public lands from mineral entry "immediately" when directed by congressional committees. It is illegal to make this change in the middle of legal action taken by conservation groups to force the Secretary to enforce the emergency resolution passed by the House Committee on Natural Resources on June 25, 2008. I am opposed to any uranium mining near the Grand Canyon -, It is SHAMEFUL that a Secretary of the Interior, someone who has been entrusted to protect our nation's land, is leading a policy that has no respect for our precious heritage of wildlands-- AND WORSE in the middle of sacred ground--A NATIONAL PARK. A complete Environmental Impact Study should be done to assess the impacts of the rule change being proposed by the Secretary of Interior. Sincerely, Your Name Dorothy Salant
