Maureen Bornholdt
Program Manager
Office of Offshore Alternative Energy Programs
Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement
Dear Ms. Bornholdt,
I am a resident of Martha’s Vineyard and a member of the Vineyard Power Cooperative.
I am writing this letter in response to the Call For Information for Rhode Island and Massachsuttes.
I am pleased to see that BOEMRE has identified, and will consider using the multiple-factor auction format, as written in the published Call for Information.
As an affected individual, I request that BOEMRE choose the multiple-factor approach as the auction format in the competitive leasing processes of both the AMI and
eventually the Massachusetts RFI areas.
As a member of a community (Martha's Vineyard) who will be SUBSTANTIALLY impacted by offshore wind development, I believe that the multi-factored approach will ensure the interests of our community.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
