I would like to encourage you to adopt the rules governing seaplane operations like those of the state of Oregon (as noted in Mr Wainwrights attachement ) Doing so would be a common sense and clear way to deal with seaplane operations in your many areas. I have traveled extensively by seaplane and found that most government offices I have contacted have no clue as to the rules governing the body of water that I have called about. As a federally liscenced operator, seaplane pilots need little guidance and should only need to know if motor boats are allowed which in fact we are when on the water. Please feel free to contact myself or any board member of the Columbia Seaplane Pilots Association if you would like help in adopting these rules. Thanks for your consideration John Chlopek Secretary, Columbia Seaplane Pilots Association
