American Sugar Alliance Comments on Proposed Rule for Feedstock Flexibility Program
7 CFR Part 1435, RIN 0560-AH86
The American Sugar Alliance (ASA) is the national coalition of growers, processors, and refiners of sugarbeets and sugarcane. The ASA commends the U.S. Department of Agriculture for its administration of U.S. sugar policy thus far into the 2008 Farm Bill. USDA has fulfilled its mandate to administer the policy to ensure stable supplies of sugar to American consumers and at no cost to American taxpayers. Our comments on the proposed rule are premised on our desire that USDA be able to continue its successful operation of U.S. sugar policy.
