Many people do not realize how many fees are associated with these cards and many of the fees are excessive. I think people think these cards will somehow improve their credit ratings and I do not think that is happening, either. I am in favor of more government regulation rather than less, especially as a credit counselor who has seen the impact of foreclosures and other unregulated business and financial transactions.
