The change from an Infectious Disease Consultation code to a primary care code will adversely affect our practice as we are seeing alot of Medicare and Medicaid clients with AIDS and are already losing money in our practice. We are being supplemented already. There are 3 providers in our practice and if this were to continue it will likely limit the number of Medicare and Medicaid patients that we will see and adversely change our practice of seeing everyone who needs to be taken care of in our area. Lee Fanning MD FACP, Infectious Disease Consultant.
