Medicare and Medicaid Programs: Application by Det Norske Veritas Healthcare for Deeming Authority for Critical Access Hospitals

As a healthcare administrator in quality and risk, I am in favor of DNV having deemed status for critical assess hospitals. Having experienced a DNV CAH mock survey during their preparation period for application, we were very pleased with the way they conducted themselves during the survey and the focus of the survey. DNVs NAIHO standards and ISO 9000 quality management system focus is more relevant to the way we would like to operate our hospital in the future. I hope that CMS approves the application.
