I am in support of the proposed rule, CMS-3140-P. This rule would set specific duties for both the long term care facility and the Hospice provider in writing. The employees from each entity will know their specific duties and will be able to provide the patient with the proper care they need. This will help ensure that we do not lose patients into the cracks because employees are not sure what their duties are specifically, allowing for better patient care. This rule will, also, save money by preventing double billing of services provided to the patients.
