1? If a hospital was assigned a CCN and began caring for patients January 2010 will their baseline be just the three months of January through March? Or, will they be scored based only on achievement? 2? Can you provide insight into what data validation is being completed on the data to be used for the three-quarter baseline? The proposed rule text reads: We believe that selecting a three-quarter baseline period from July 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010 will enable us to achieve this goal. Although the proposed baseline period has ended, we are still in the process of validating this data and expect the validation process to be complete by the end of January 2011. Is "validating of data" referring to the HCAHPS data or the clinical process of care measures? If the HCAHPS data is coming from HospitalCompare hasn’t the analysis already been completed since publicly reported? 3? Are there plans to add any adjustments when calculating the VBP baseline, such as adjustments based on geographic region, etc.? 4? When will the three-quarter baseline database be made available? What entity will provide the data? Thank you!
