It is the right of every man, woman, and child to receive medical treatment when the need arises. Consistency is everything. Many seniors keep two residences, one up north (Michigan, Wisconsin, etc) and one down south (Florida). It would make medicare more efficient if all states were playing with the same rules. That's not to say that California should have the same pay rates as Indiana as I am sure that the cost of living is not the same in these two states, but the criterion for receiving such medical treatment must be universal around the country. Those things so important to those on Medicaid are “efficiency, economy, and quality of care”. These things must remain adequate to keep providers accessible to those on Medicaid seeking treatment. I agree with this proposal and would like to see it passed.
