Medicare and Medicaid Programs: Opportunities for Alignment under Medicaid and Medicare

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF), the nation’s oldest and largest organization representing kidney patients, appreciates to opportunity to respond to the Request for Information: Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Opportunities for Alignment Under Medicaid and Medicare; Federal Register Volume 76, Number 94 (Monday, May 16, 2011). We believe that there are multiple opportunities to improve access to care under the Medicare and Medicaid programs for dual eligible individuals with chronic kidney disease and provide examples in the attached letter.
