Medicare Program: Proposed Changes to Electronic Prescribing Incentive Program

I am a breast surgeon and my practice does not meet the e-prescribing criteria due to our practice pattern. We rarely if ever prescribe medications and will never meet the criteria you have set out. We are starting our EMR this year and would like to participate in the benefits of doing that. We believe as does our supporting professional associations - the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons - that there should be credible exemptions to your criteria.
