I am opposed to making physician Medicare claims public or giving this data to some entity that will publicize this data. I am a private Internal Medicine physician and see Medicare patients. I have been negatively impressed with the ability of health care organizations to publish accurate data on individual physicians performance due to faulty data collection. I see no recourse as a physician to correct this date once it is published. I see this as another government intrusion and do not see benefits to honest and hardworking physicians such as myself. In order to weed out fraud, I feel I am again being subjected to onerous rules and regulations. Do not pass this proposed rule. If it passes, it will be one more reason for me to drop out of Medicare as a provider.
