Role of the Insurance Broker
-fee’s and commissions
-will brokers be permitted to sell insurance within the exchange and out with the same commission
-who can sell within the exchange
-penalties if you do not offer group health insurance - IMPORTANT
-will employers receive tax credits for offering health insurance
- is the Exchange considered Non-profit or a Governmental Agency?
-will the exchange have State Mandates and if not, can the private carriers opt out?
-will the Exchange show comparisons of benefits and mention private insurance
-will all State representatives/gov’t officials use the Exchange
-who will determine Essential Benefits and will private insurance have access to selling EB’s
-who will handle cobra in the Exchange
-will the Exchange offer indiv’s within a group plan various options
-will Brokers be considered “navigators”
-who in the Dept of Treasury will be responsible for determining premium tax credit and who gets the credit? Will EE get their percentage of contributions eligible for credits AND the ER contribution?
-the Advisory Committee does not list BROKERS
-do NOT merge Indiv and small group market
-if NJ can rate based on ages in a group, why can’t NY consider that
-JULY 2012 RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE ROLE OF THE LICENSED BROKER/AGENT
-JULY 2012 RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING CONTINUING HSA’S!!!!!!
-if the Exchange is not subject to State taxes, will private insurance be subject to taxes? UNFAIR advantage.
-why are they adding dental into this?
-will everyone working in the Exchange be licensed and subject to CE credits?
-who will regulate claims / will there be a healthcare advocate within the exchange
WHAT IS AN ESSENTIAL BENEFIT?
HOW ARE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS GOING TO BE COVERED - WHAT IS BEING DONE WITH ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT REGISTERED?
WHAT IS BEING CONSIDERED FOR MULTI-STATE PLANS?
