The proposed requirement for Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting re validation of records, calls for reducing the number of days allowed for submission of documentation to CDAC from the current 45 days to 30 days from request. This reduction will be a significant burden to both Hospital Information Management Department staff who must copy the records/prepare them for mailing as well as the Quality Improvement Department staff who must check the records once they're ready for mailing to verify that all documents are present. Thank you for your anticipated consideration of a resource concern for this hospital.
