Medicare Programs: Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule; Signature on Requisition

I am very grateful for the removal of the physciian signature requirement from the Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule. It truly would have made the delivery fo diagnostic lab testing severely burdensome especially for those smallest of labs, the most rural of labs, and the most vulerable of patients. As one of the hundreds of thousands of medical lab professionals who would have been intimately affected by this ruling, I respectfully request that you add "Medical laboratory scientist/technician" to your list of professional categories. It is somewhat ludicrous and frustrating to have to hunt for my profession's designation, when without my performance of those lab tests, the rest of those professionals would be relegated to doing first aid for their patients. Thank you for considering this request.
