I am a breast cancer survivor and have been a research & patient advocate for 13 years. My advocacy affiliation is with a university cancer research center, and I have received advanced training through ASCO, AACR, NBBCF, The Coalition of Cancer Center Cooperatives, Patient Advocate Leadership Forum, ALAMO Foundation, NCI, my university cancer center, and more. I urge you to pass the rule which would allow patient access to test reports. These tests are authorized and paid for by patients, and are rightfully their property to access. Patients today have many naviigation tools and resources available to begin their research asap if they desire, rather than WAIT until an appointment is available for their doctor to reveal test results - which can be days or weeks. If a patient chooses not to access their test results, but rather wait until their doctor has the time to discuss with them, that should be their "option". I urge you to put the option in the control of the patient;.
