Most hospitals have spent significant money preparing their facility and the staff for the 2013 implementation of ICD-10. A one year delay will add additional cost to those hospitals. Go with the 2013 implementaiton date for hospitals but exclude outpatient diagnostic procedures that require physician documentation for medical necessity. Allow physician practices the 1 year delay until 10/2014. Thank you.
