The Kentucky Environmental Foundation supports the Corps proposal to do away with NWP 21. Ongoing research shows clear links bewteen toxic chemical exposure and poor health. Coal mining and valley fills release toxic chemicals into the water and thus into our bodies, and these valley fill operations should be carefully scrutinized for environmental and health impacts rather than rubber-stamped through nationwide permitting. Please do what you can to protect the health of Americans from toxic chemicals in our water. Elizabeth Crowe, Executive Director Kentucky Environmental Foundation
