This is comment on Proposed Rule

Interpretation of Children

View Comment

Hello there, I think this is a great proposal in getting the things better in this country as far as children is concerned. I know how much parents are worried about their teen aged kids in this country. Atleast this enforces the manufacturers to carefully follow the rules and tag the products/ services meant for children clearly. I have seen myself kids demanding for some toy at stores in spite of us explaining it is not meant for their age. I think the inclusion of several factors like the presence, cost, intended usage etc makes it a complete check mechanism and I am in a total agreement with the proposal. Everytime I see a machine gun toys in a toddler section, it really blows me off. What are we teaching these kids with these toys and so are the products like movies in spite of them being tagged as G, PG I do see there are certain scenes that are in appropriate for their age. I wish this law can cover the TV shows, movies etc. Especially an adult Advertisement coming in the mid of a G/PG movie screening is a stupid idea by both TV channels and the product owners. Just my 2c; Raghu
