I don't think that it is necessary to make a cigarette that burns any hotter or longer than any that are being produced. If you want to have an accurate study then you might as well base it on materials that are actually used by the general public. It isn't very fair to make the mattress companies produce a mattress that can withstand heat that it will never be exposed to. Doing so requires them to spend more on materials and production and won't save a life any better than the one that they could produce to withstand a lower-heat producing cigarette that is actually available on the market.
