Table Saw Blade Contact Injuries

View Comment

As the retired owner of a construction company who has been in business 18+ years and also manufactures furniture, I have never had an injury (myself or an employee) during the use of any table saw we have. We use portable andcontractor saws daily. It simple takes common sense anddirection when using these and the mirad of other tools which can cause sever bodily injury. If one uses caution, reads and applies safety procedures for their specific tool, there should (and would not) be anyinjuries sustained. To add SAW STOP type safety to all saws would make the too expensive for all but the largest orginazations to purchase. This rule should not even be considered.
