To Whom It May Concern,
Hello & thank you for listening to our comments. Regarding the necessity for a pre-filing of compliance documents with each shipment coming through of product given compliant for use with Children's products or not compliant, this is a wasteful excersise for both importing companies as well as our Federal employees. Our products are primarily compliant with all rules for childrens products with a few exceptions, however, as we do not actively pursue our sales to products meant for children as this is the role of our end customers who in turn make the decisions if they will produce children's products with our manufactured product, I see this as an obtrusion to the proper flow of business causing undo financial and logistical hardship upon our company, as well as an undo and logistical hardship upon our Customs workers. I believe their time and effort would be much better served by focusing upon areas of greater possibility of harm to citizens. The current rules that are in place regarding Children's products already do what they can to a) prevent finished product companies from selling improper product to Children, but also provide the necessary punishments for those that attempt to avoid their responsibilities. I do not see the need to change what is already in place.
Thank you.
