Dear Mr. Chernoff, I am writing to urge you to reconsider the proposed changes to Foreign Travel that are being considered. I, too, am very concerned about our border safety however the new changes will not serve this purpose. The logistics are just too overwhelming. It will not affect the target group you are intending. I have been a member of The Flying Samaritans since 1996. The Custom's Agents at Nogales USA know us quite well. We go down one weekend a month 10 months a year to do a clinic in Mexico free to our patients. We pay our own expenses, and see about 255 grateful people who would otherwise not get care because they do not qualify. We supply an important need for the needy there and are good will ambassadors for our country. We have had to deal enough with the red tape from Mexico and trying to fulfull your demands for advance notices etc will be a logistical nightmare. The communication in and from Mexico is subpar and at times impossible. I do hope that you will consider talking to some of the groups that will be adversly affected by needless red tape from our own government.
