Privacy Act of 1974; United States Citizenship and Immigration Services--010 Asylum Information and Pre-Screening System of Records AGENCY: Privacy Office; DHS. Docket No. DHS-2009-0123 The Unites States Citizenship and Immigration Services-010 Asylum Information and Pre-Screening System of Records represents meaningful record-keeping and adds another positive attribute to what the Department of Homeland Security has been entrusted to do—and that’s to aid protection of the nations’ security. I support this class of record-keeping because permitting asylum (in most cases) could aid in collected works and preserve international relations. More importantly, I support the nominal expenditures associated with this effort. In a time where funding is being constrained, businesses are in need of bailouts, and unemployment is at an all time high—the misuse of government funds should not be a concern. This forth-coming proposal sets the example by using two legacy tracking systems which will aid in illustrating the required data and minimizes expenses.
