This has got to be the worst solution to immigration issues I have ever heard of.
We don't need something that is the equivalent of a national id card. We already have drivers' licenses, birth certificates, and half a dozen other forms of ID.
It's easy--someone doesn't have a U.S. SSN, driver's license, birth certificate, passport, visa or green card, they get deported.
We don't need a system that has so much potential for abuse to enforce immigration laws.
I am totally against e-verify, REAL ID, or any other national id.
