Customs and Border Protection has already established special relationships with many trade community members within the trusted trader programs it has already created, and these trusted trader programs (which were created by Customs and Border Protection by increasing the burden of information to be provided) should already be providing substantial facilitation of legitimate trade and should be simplifying the Bureau’s enforcement targeting, without the need to increase the burden yet again and expand the collection of data and information.
