By implementing the proposed changes to the system, there might be a significant
decrease in required paperwork within the Defense Threat Reduction Agency DoD's
records. I feel that harmonious with this is the benefit that in most cases
claiming subsections of section(d) of 5 U.S.C 552a would result in information
which has been retrieved by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency DoD being
protected under the same exemptions to which other information contained in this
agencies information is protected. This protection from section(d) in particular
could significantly reduce costs and overhead resulting from suits resulting
from denial of requests for information and/or the paperwork relating to the
otherwise exempt information retrieved by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency
DoD which would otherwise need to be forwarded to the interested individual.
