Thank You for reopening for comment the December 10,2008 final rule implementing the TRICARE hospital outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS).My hospital is located within 10 minutes of a large military base Ft. Lee,. I am concerned about the negative impact that TRICARE OPPS will have on my hospitals ability to meet the growing healthcare needs of our nations militay servicemen and women and their families.Now is not the time to cut military healthcare. medicare did not cut hospital payments for seniors when it adopted OPPS and neither should DOD cut hospital payments for outpatient military health care. Thank You for considering my comments.
