I graduated with a masters in counseling in 1981, before the program was certified. I was grand parented in to my LPC license in Oregon the year is was created. I have been in practice for 30 years have a NPI number and on the NBCC board. So the only requirement that I will not make is the graduation from a certified program. I am very concerned about not being able to work with tricare clients. I am a vet myself and do a lot of work with this new generation of vets but also the Vietnam era vets and retired tricare clients. Is there any way that has been created to assist us old timers get grand parented in. It would be a shame if I had to stop. If letters of recommendation would help I can provide those. Any suggestions? at 58 going back to school just isn't an option. My practice is full, I want to keep helping these folks.
