If the word "Signature" was moved to the left end and at the top of the box with smaller font and the "X" moved to the far left then the box would comply with a higher level of signature capture without "NOISE". The Florida State Voter Registration Form (eff. 1/2012) - [this form has been uploaded with this submission] - has this vendor standard. The Absentee Ballot Return Envelope signature areas have been moving to this standard also for the voters’ signatures need to be clear and legible. The absentee ballot trend is increasing and the move to the software enhancement of "Automatic Signature Verification" is also increasing. This process could accept the signatures that match closely and the burden of human interaction with those that only match partially. Within 4 years half of the counties in Florida may be using this process to relieve the burden during the "CRUNCH" period just prior to election day. I would like to state that our concern of the full middle name as well as not allowing PO Boxes to be used for residence addresses has been heard. Thank you!
